I took a UX/UI course at the University of Minnesota to learn the fundamentals of the design process. Over the six month course, I completed multiple case studies, both collaboratively and individually, and have honed my design skills. I also learned the fundamentals of HTML, CSS, and Javascript coding.
IT Implementation Project Management
Epic Systems
Most recently, I was an IT project manager for Epic Systems (think MyChart) and learned firsthand about the work involved to create, implement, and iterate software on a grand scale. I was able to bridge the gap between developers and executives to determine the best business options and creatively solve problems. I was responsible for training analysts, leading executive-level conversations, and creating in-system workarounds to adapt the system for each organization.
Marketing and Digital Design Internship

While taking a course on marketing fundamentals, I worked with my team to develop a marketing plan and promotional materials for the local arts guild to improve engagement across their socials, market their programs to a wider audience, and increase membership rates.

I began my professional career creating marketing materials, managing socials, and completing a website redesign for this solar nonprofit. I loved being able to experiment with design and work with this passionate organization. Nonprofit fundraising is a great crash course in facing rejection and it was during this time I learned to not fear failure but instead use it to my advantage.
Writing Instruction and Tutoring

As a lead writing tutor, I coordinated tutoring sessions, created curriculum, assisted in the classroom, and conducted weekly writing labs for the introductory writing course for international students. I also curated a personal tutoring philosophy integrating philosophies on ethical and efficient tutoring strategies after comprehensive diversity and inclusion training.
